What form of birth control is effective for you? If you are on a birth control pill and your guy is wearing a condom — do you have a higher chance on not getting pregnant?
What’s the most effective birth contol should I use to ensure I won’t get pregnant? Any brands?
THANKS!!YES! It would be a very good idea if your hubby wore a condom and you used birth control pills — definitely will lower your chances of pregnancy! Congrats! =)I have been married for thirteen years and was on the pill for fourteen years.
Yes, you are safer from pregnancy if he wears a condom – making it 100% safe. You are pretty safe with using the pill alone, however, there is still that 1% chance of pregnancy. Women have become pregnant while on the pill even though they took it correctly.
All of the pills are the same, they just have different names – brand name and generic. The last seven years I was on the pill I took Alesse (and its generic Aviane). The low-dose pills have the least side effects while being effective. The low dose pills are just as effective as the high-dose, but the low dose pills are safer.
You can also try the ring.
I would discuss options with your Gyn.
My husband and I have never used condoms. I never became pregnant, but I may have been one of the lucky ones due to having PCOS.Everyone’s body reacts differently but I used ortho tri cyclin (or however you spell it) and it worked until we decided to stop to have a baby. So I used it for 2.5 years and my husband never used a condom. I didn’t have any lasting side effects, only a little moodiness in the begining when my body was adjusting to the new hormone. I’m pregnant again now but afterward I’m going to try an IUD. It lasts a long time and I won’t have to remember to take a pill every night. But I’ve heard that it kinda hurts when they put it in if you haven’t had kids before. Here’s a link with more info: www.fwhc.org/birth-control/iudinf…
and another: www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/b…I use Microestrin which is a pill, and my husband and I still use a condom, because we really super are not ready for children yet.
And yes, wearing a condom will always lower your chance of getting pregnant. Birth control is 99.9% effective, but a condom is 100% effective if it doesn’t break.I have used the IUD for the past 15 years and I have been baby free!!! I really believe that this is the best for women who have only one partner. I was called fertile murtle before this, because I had four babies before the IUD.they are all effective! im on the pill (cerazette) and dont use condoms with my partner and ive never had a scare of a pregnancy! ive been on 2 other pills and still no scare.
