ipl photorejuvenation success for freckles
I get migraines every now and then…I have been on medication but it caused side effects so I cannot take it. If I try to take advil when I actually have the migraine, I’ll throw it up. Please if you have any ideas I would really appreciate it!Unlike most other types of headaches caffeine can help with a migraine so you may want to try that. If you are taking regular advil it won’t touch a migraine anyway. If the medication you were taking was causing unwanted side effects I would recommend talking to your doctor about trying another type of migraine medication Caffeine – Caffeine helps constrict blood vessels, – blood dilation is believed to be the main cause of migraines.(If you don’t drink coffee you can get caffeine pills at the pharmacy).
Gravol – I get migraines as well, and my Doctor suggested taking suppository Gravol and go to bed. The suppository Gravol is supposed to be more effective, you won’t throw it up, and plus it will make you drowsy and hopefully help you sleep off the migraine. I’ve found that calming my stomach often helps reduce the pain. I know this is not really a natural remedy, but I think it is something worth trying. As always you should check with your Doctor or Pharmacist before taking anything.
Ice pack – I find it helps to place it on my forehead, or the back of my neck.
However, I also suggest you try to find your triggers and prevent the migraines before they happen if you can. Sometimes triggers aren’t so clear, so I wish you lots of luck. I find a dark quiet room, lay still, burn Jasmin or lavender & cold cloth can help but not if it’s too far into the migraine. Also try & figure out any triggers that may be causing the headaches, for me it was cheese or getting too over heated. I found acupuncture was great & I have not had many since doing a course of visits to a acupuncturist.
