I’ve been on the pill for quite a while but i’m still super scared of getting pregnant.
Is it safe for my bf to finish inside me or are pills not that effective yet?
When do women typically ovulate?
How many precautions should we take even though I’m consistent about it every single day?99% safe and effective. They have been around since the 1960′s. If you have only one partner, and neither has a STD, then you need no other precautions to avoid pregnancy.Honestly, if you’re "still super scared of getting pregnant", you should not be having sex.
As with most to all birth control methods, while they are highly effective if used correctly, there is still a failure rate. Some fail due to user error, others due to error in design. Bottom line, there is still a risk of pregnancy if you all him to finish inside you without barrier (protection).
Furthermore, birth control pills do not protect against STD’s. So unless you are 101% sure about the status of your current partner, and are 101% sure they have never or WILL never cheat on you, then I suggest you either a) not have sex or b) use condoms.
Take care.
